Friends are like wedgies-they know your inner self, they're intimately close and it feels really good when you pick a good one out.

I got lucky enough to get two wedgie-rific friends. And they did an amazing job making my latest birthday an unforgettable one (even with the testosterone driven childhood meltdowns). I got to do basically anything and everything I wanted for my birthday (and not too many tourist!). What princess could ask for more??

Top embarrassments for the day included a standing ovation (only because the waitress made me stand up in the car!) at the Sci-Fi Drive-In, a ploy pulled off magnificently by the ever quiet and sneaky boyfriend in the backseat. And I even got my own ice cream sundae!! And then, my bestest-ever best friend had to drag me up to the Mulch, Sweat and Shears band so that they could properly embarrass me in front of the gathered crowd. They sang Happy Birthday & gave me a new name “Bonnie” special for the occasion. I guess if I was ever going to change my name – umm – THAT WOULD NOT BE IT!! LOL

There are no limits to the cool factors when you have on that birthday button (although MGM appears to the be the only park without their own special button). I ended up with a Mickey picture from Rafi, the resident artist at The Magic of Animation. And we managed to by-pass the crowds on Star Tours and go straight to the head of the line because of it too! This of course completely thrilled everyone in our party, since the wait time was over 30 minutes.

The Chronicles of Narnia exhibit was really cool. Even though the mean old lady who was running the front door wouldn’t let us get a picture walking into the wardrobe (do they have a class for how to be a pain in the @## at a new exhibit @ Disney??). By the way, anyone who has not seen the movie, STOP READING MY WEBPAGE AND GO RIGHT NOW… do not pass go, do not collect $200 dollars.

For anyone wondering (if you keep up with the blog), the bear has been suitably named Saile (pronounced Sail-E). After a few uninspiring names, we happened upon greatness. Elias – spelled backwards, can make a wonderful girls name. She will be appearing on her own web space soon – so be sure to check back for all of her exciting adventures (and yes… we decided she had to be a girl – way too many boys already in our traveling party).

And now, alas, Christmas is coming, and our black-out period begins. We shall have dreams of Disney parks dancing in our heads for the next few weeks until we pick out our next adventure.

Until then, we here at Disneynuts.com wish everyone a pixie dusted Disney Holiday!!
