Chronicle staff in precarious position at

Animal Kingdom
– nearly devoured in dinosaur feast!!!

The Chronicle crew was whooshed back to prehistoric times to attempt a
dangerous mission of rescuing a stray dinosaur - narrowly missing a date
with disaster (ie hungry meat-eating predator and an impending asteroid)!
It was a sinister and frightening ride with colossal creatures around every
turn. The crew barely made it out alive! (see pic of children cowering in
second row – that would be Caleb & Phillip ‘not being scared’)

With civilization safe and sound, the crew was free to then enjoy several
(non-life threatening) fantastic shows. The Festival of the Lion King
(elephant section) was a breathtaking event & the singers were amazing. And
they were sufficiently surprised at how cool Tarzan Rocks really was. Live
band, funky monkeys, a guy in cowboy boots & one in a loincloth – what’s not
to love? Our other suggestions would be, that if you do venture over to the
Pocahontas show, you watch the people off to the left side who are signing
for the deaf audience – they’re way more entertaining than Pocahontas
herself. The guy who was signing for Grandmother Willow and twig was just
hilarious (he had obviously done this show MANY times).

We even managed to squeeze in a short trip to EPCOT before the day was over
(who said those Disney passes wouldn’t come in handy!!). They were holding
their 10th annual Food and Wine Festival and the crowds were really starting
to pick up by the time we got there. We did manage to squeeze in a ride (or
two) on Mission Space and it IS as intense as they claim. Alas, the crowds
put a huge damper on the other rides we were hoping to enjoy (Test Track &
Soaring). So I guess another trip is in order for some more thorough
coverage on EPCOT another time!!

Remember to check back often for harrowing and mind blowing accounts from The Disneynut’s Chronicles!!
