Crystal Palace patrons witness Pooh accostation

by Singing Disney Waiter!!

On October 29, 2005, the Patch families’ customary birthday luncheon at the Crystal Palace was anything but typical. As they were escorted to their table (tucked into a corner - hmmm, was that on purpose??) they were introduced to a nice enough fellow named Michael. Little did they know, everyone else at the Crystal Palace knew him as the enthusiastic singing waiter!!

Michael mystified the crowd (see small child located in bottom right of picture)

as he sang the drink list. Then broke out into another mysterious version of the ‘Sweet tea – Alabama Momma’ song. We give Michael full props for pulling the whole shin-dig off without missing a beat – weird egg shaker and all (decidedly, his own beat – everyone dances to their own drummer – Michael’s must have been on a coffee break). He also wowed the adolescent attendees with his off the cuff dog humor. (Example: Where do you find a no legged dog? – Right where you left him)

On a more serious note, the dinner was wonderful. Michael’s enthusiasm absolutely made the Disney dining experience a momentous occasion - and Dale’s (Pooh) birthday, one we will all never forget. For that Michael, we thank you!
